Phil Buckle

I have lived on the edge of the Lake District in Cumbria for most of my life and have slowly become more passionate about the area and its rugged beauty. Through being a keen walker in the lakes I eventually picked up my first DSLR and have developed my skills as a photographer in what I would call one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

As a latecomer to photography, I love nothing more than spending time walking and discovering new locations on the fells and around the lakes. I find myself returning to the same locations time and time again, this enables me to truly understand its beauty and how to get the best out of its moods, light and atmosphere. My love of photography for me means an early start and meeting whatever new challenge each day brings with a smile, no matter what the unpredictable Cumbrian weather throws my way.
