The Kase Revolution Plus MCUV is a multi-coated UV filter designed to live on your lens as permanent protection, without compromising the optical quality you expect from the Revolution Plus system.
UV filters serve two purposes: reducing ultraviolet haze in outdoor shooting, and protecting the front element of your lens from dust, moisture, and accidental contact. The Revolution Plus MCUV does both, and because it sits within the magnetic ecosystem, you can mount and remove it in seconds rather than unscrewing a traditional filter under pressure in the field.
Safeguard Impact technology
If the filter takes a knock, the magnetic connection is designed to work in your favour — the filter detaches from the lens under impact, absorbing the force rather than transferring it to your front element. It’s a genuine safety feature, not just a convenience.
Ultra-slim inlaid design
The included inlaid adaptor ring screws into your lens thread and stays there permanently. Unlike a conventional adaptor ring that sits on top of the lens, the inlaid design fits inside the filter thread, reducing the overall stack height by approximately half. This minimises the risk of vignetting, particularly at wider focal lengths, and keeps your Revolution Plus filters as close to the lens as possible.
KW optical glass
Made from Kase KW optical glass with multi-layer coatings, the MCUV achieves a reflection rate below 0.1%, meaning it has minimal effect on contrast, colour, or sharpness. Leaving it on your lens full-time is a practical choice rather than a compromise.
Part of the Revolution Plus magnetic system
With the inlaid ring in place, your Revolution Plus ND, CPL, GND and other filters attach magnetically on top, making the MCUV a natural foundation for the whole system. The colour-coded frame — white for UV — means you can identify it instantly in a filter pouch or camera bag.
