Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy
E & Y Digital Consulting Ltd (trading as Kase Filters UK)
1. Our commitment
The management team at E & Y Digital Consulting Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain. We take a zero-tolerance approach to slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking.
Although we are not currently required to publish a statement under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (as our turnover is below the threshold), we believe it’s important to be clear about the steps we take and what we expect from our partners.
2. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to:
-
our directors, employees, and anyone working for us; and
-
our key suppliers and service partners, including manufacturing, freight/logistics, warehousing, and fulfilment.
3. How we work
We’re a UK-based online retailer and wholesaler of photography filters and accessories. Our products are manufactured in China and imported to the UK. Orders are fulfilled and shipped to customers through our fulfilment partner, Huboo.
We recognise that modern slavery risks can be higher in parts of global supply chains, particularly where there are sub-contractors, temporary labour, or limited oversight. That’s why we focus our attention on the areas where risk is most likely.
4. Our expectations of suppliers and partners
We expect our suppliers and partners to:
-
comply with applicable laws and regulations in the countries they operate in;
-
not use forced, bonded, prison, or compulsory labour;
-
ensure workers are free to leave employment with reasonable notice;
-
not withhold identity documents (passports, permits, etc.);
-
not charge workers recruitment fees (or ensure any fees are repaid where this has happened);
-
provide safe working conditions; and
-
treat people fairly and with respect.
If we become aware of credible concerns, we expect suppliers and partners to cooperate with us to investigate and put things right.
5. What we do to reduce risk (due diligence)
For a business of our size, we take a practical approach that focuses on meaningful checks and clear expectations. This includes:
-
Supplier and partner checks: We maintain a list of our key suppliers and service partners, and carry out reasonable checks appropriate to the relationship (for example, requesting a supplier code of conduct, ethical trade policy, or written confirmation of labour standards).
-
Working with our fulfilment partner: We use Huboo for warehousing and fulfilment. We expect our fulfilment partner to follow UK employment law and good practice, including appropriate right-to-work processes and worker welfare protections.
-
Contractual expectations: Where appropriate, we include expectations around modern slavery and ethical labour in our agreements and reserve the right to end relationships where serious concerns are identified and not addressed.
-
Ongoing awareness: We stay alert to warning signs (for example: unusual pricing that suggests labour exploitation, reluctance to answer basic labour-practice questions, or repeated reports from credible sources).
6. Reporting concerns
If you believe that modern slavery or human trafficking may be taking place in connection with our business or supply chain, please let us know.
Please use our website Contact form to report any concerns. Choose a subject such as “Modern Slavery Concern” and include as much detail as you can. We will treat reports seriously, investigate appropriately, and take action where needed.
If you are in immediate danger or believe a crime is in progress, contact the emergency services.
7. Responsibility and review
Overall responsibility for this policy sits with the management team at E & Y Digital Consulting Ltd. We review this policy at least once a year and update it if our business or supply chain changes.
