Kase Ambassador Interview – Neil Burnell
Want to know a little more about our ambassadors? We asked them some questions.
Q1 – Tell us a little about yourself and your achievements?
I currently run 1-2-1 workshops on long exposure photography around the Devon coastline and will be offering woodland workshops from this Autumn. You can see some of my achievements to date listed below.
(APOY) AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2018 – FOTOSPEED PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2019 – WEX PHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2017 – WEX PHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2016 – LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2017 – Your View
Q2 – What’s your photography style?
I tend to try and mix my photography up a little to keep it interesting. As far as a style goes, I’d say i’m recognised for my minimalism, but I’ve also had some cinematic style woodland images published globally so the style varies.
Q3 – What equipment do you use?
I’ve recently purchased a Nikon Z7 and have various lenses.Nikon 14-30 F4 ,Nikon 24-70 F4,Nikon 50mm F1.8, Zeiss 100mm F2 macro. I also use a 3 Legged Thing “Winston” tripod and obviously Kase filters.
Q4 – Why Kase Filters?
For me, Kase is the perfect filter to use compliments my style of photography. My long exposure minimalism is generally shots with an exposure time of over 2-3minutes so the 10ND or 16ND is in constant use. I find the Kase filters have a minimal effect on image quality and leave pretty much no cast, so this is ideal when I want to produce muted colour seascapes or minimalistic shots.
Q5 – Where can people see your work?
