Workshop Information

Workshop Checklist

A checklist of items you may wish to consider bringing along with you to the workshop It is by no means an exhaustive list but I hope it may help you with your preparations:

Equipment

  • An L-Bracket for the base of your camera – I find it invaluable when interchanging between horizontal & vertical compositions
  • A Tripod
  • Tripod Spikes – a welcome addition to provide the tripod extra stability when on soft ground
  • A Cable Release – important when trying to capture water movement without using the inbuilt camera shutter delay. Pressing the shutter at the right time is vital when capturing water movement
  • Spare camera batteries – if the weather turns cold, the battery life will reduce.
  • Spare SD Cards – if your camera has a dual card facility, please use it so that you have a back up of your images
  • A Polariser and ND Filters
  • Camera Lens cloths
  • A portable hard drive for you to back up your images at the end of each day – just in case your SD card becomes corrupted or lost later in the trip

Clothing

  • Walking Boots
  • Wellington Boots
  • Thermal Underwear or Baselayers
  • Layers of clothing
  • Fleeces or Hoodies
  • Waterproof Jacket
  • Caps or Bobble Hats
