The results are in; Wex Photo Video have announced the results of their ‘Photographer of the Year 2020’ competition, with 2 Kase Photographers snagging spots in the top 3.
Devon based Kase Global Ambassador, Andi Campbell, won the hotly contested first place with some stunning astro and landscape photography images taking him to the top of the leader board. Andi says ‘It’s a wonderful accolade, and I feel greatly honoured to have my work recognised like this. Without the top quality equipment available to me, I wouldn’t have been able to produce those images, and this is where the Kase Filters system really makes the difference.’
Here is one of Andi’s winning images from the competition, shot using the Kase Neutral Night Filter, which is our light pollution filter.
Further examples of Andi’s work can be seen at https://www.andrewcampbell.co.uk/, where you’ll also find details of his landscape photography workshops and editing masterclasses.
In third place this year was Staffordshire based photographer Dave Fieldhouse, a multi-award winning photographer specialising in urban and landscape photography. Dave says about getting in the top three ‘It’s always nice when you get recognition from a competition like #WexMondays. The wide range of styles and genres must make it a near impossible task to judge. The standard was extremely good yet again, so I feel very lucky to have had a handful of images catch the eye.’
Here is one of Dave’s winning images from the competition, shot using the Kase K8 Holder, Magnetic CPL, and Wolverine Soft Grad. You can find out more about Dave’s photography workshops, upcoming talks and see his latest work at https://www.davefieldhousephotography.com/.
Kase are manufactures of ultra-high quality photographic glass filters. Kase have a great range of innovatively designed square and circular filter systems available for the needs of most photographers. Their Wolverine Glass is optically superb toughened glass, offering little to no colour cast and we think you will love their hydrophobic qualities. All this means you can shoot in the most demanding conditions and be assured that you can capture with confidence.
WEX Photo Video
The WEX Photographer of the Year competition, ‘#WexMondays’, was established in 2012 and runs a little differently to most photography competitions. Rather than submitting your images once a year, you can enter via the hashtag #WexMondays on Twitter each week, with points being awarded weekly and tallied over the year. Approximately 15,000 images from photographers across the UK were submitted over the past 12 months, creating plenty of competition for the top places.
Visit WEX PHOTO VIDEO to see a full range of Kase Filters and to find out more about the competition.
